Homeward, only less so

It happens that my sister, because I do have a sister, finds a little time in an eternally undecided schedule and decides to award it to her dear little brother - and I am summoned to Metropolis with my dearest for a walk, food, chat and tea with the Older One.

So it's Friday night when we get off the train, walk a few minutes and are safe in front of a cup of tea and a nice nice glass of beer.
A little sleep, the ladies playing dressup before noticing the rain, and after ten minutes on the Brown Cow we are in Venice and step right just after the bridge, then left, then right again, and we are alone. Almost.

We walk and chat, quite a lot of stories to tell, then we turn right.

And one more for me, I always try to have a few minutes to spend there.

Then it's delicious delicious food and wine, at the Assassins. Baccalà poker for me.

After the longest time spent while it was raining, out we go to see the happy result of almost twenty years of work, mostly done by one man, from a wreck.
The first time I saw her, it was in a storage area only a little cleaner than outside.
After visiting, bringing along at least three girlfriends and one wife, for seventeen years, R managed this. And a lovely sight it is.

Next spring it heads into the lagoon first, and then eastwards. And my sister is getting her license!
