Sony How come the RX1 depreciates so much in value?

I thought the RX1 came in over priced to begin with. FF P&S with a fixed lens doesn't compete with anything else. Doesn't compete with Leica because M9 is astronomical and then you still need to buy a lens.
I would not be surprised if a new RX1 drops closer to 2K after new Sony FF and the Nikon D610 become readily available.

At some point, IMO, you do run the risk of the electronics failing. I don't think a lot of these mirrorless cameras are built like the Canon and Nikon DSLRs. I know for me, I've had a couple of mirrorless cameras and compacts simply die, as have others. After a few years use. Just mean to say -- you can't wait forever.
