Sydney was horrendous yesterday. Not so bad up here in the Hunter. But its just everywhere and not going to go away, as you say. The fires continue to burn, and the arsonists are having fun.

I don’t understand arsonists - especially in situations like these. They should be shot on sight.

Apparently in Queensland, EIGHTEEN people (including some kids) have been charged, or at least questioned... its worrying.

This was the sun as the day closed out today in Sydney. It's what it's like when the air quality has been at its worst and fire's been in the air. You can smell it.

Smokey, AQI is 163, over 2million acres gone up in smoke. 34º predicted, but so was yesterday which got to 39º here. Thats C, btw, not F. I wish.

Yep, I was out raking leaves yesterday, and gave up after about 15 minutes! Just too cold and miserable.

Typical unsettled pattern for this time of year. Cold and rainy last two days. Monday I spent all morning cleaning leaves from the yard, and the rain and wind have covered the yard and driveway yet again. I'll probably wait until the middle of December when the Oak trees finally shed their leaves before a final cleanup.

MUCH nicer today. Temp around 29ºC at my place, AQI in a reasonable range, and the lawn guy doing his job several hours late so isnt going to charge me.

December and January in London last year wasn’t that bad. Not warm obviously, but I certainly remember blue skies. Hoping for the same this year on my annual visit. But November’s worse that’s for sure.
