How's weather at your place?

I haven't seen a dog this thick in a long time. To bad I had to be at work, though I wish I had gotten up early this morning but it's hard when the head makes the sleep very uncomfortable.
Still. At night it was so cold outside that the fog just rolled in and stayed well into 10:00

It was so thick that I could see it roll through the dark background like steam. Would have been great to be on top of Monument Hill to see the entire town in a thick moving white blanket. And it's still going to be 29 C today, somehow.

Temperatures from the last week (deg C) - 29, 29, 30, 29, 31, 30, 32, and probably 30+ again today despite thick fog this morning (warm fog, how weird is that??) Yesterday was unbearable, hardly a breath of wind and humid with it. Of course, we shall all moan like drains when it gets cooler and rainy next week!
The only reason I get upset with the cold if there's no snow. With my blankies and my Nuggie I will be so warm that T-Shirt is mandatory even in the winter. Typically I generate more heat then the house's heating in a 1 meter radius.

Hot and muggy.

LOML and I are to attend an outdoor wedding reception this afternoon in Fredericksburg, VA.

We are SO looking forward to the heat and humidity....

Not
So,

As it turned out, virtually at the same time as we arrived at the venue, the sky's opened up and the wind came whipping in.

As the reception was in a tent, we had to stay in the vehicle for about 30 minutes.

The plus was the temperature dropped significantly and it was quite pleasant.

After an early taste of unexpected summer (32°C) we've reverted back to winter storms with a massive temperature drop and lashings of rain.

This is also the reason the renovation building work in our bedroom (my office area) is taking so much longer than expected and is so disruptive to my ability to reach the computer to edit and upload images, specifically SIS challenged dailies :(

 Single In - Single in September (SiS) 2023 - day 24

I can't cut and paste so I refer you to the above. This is a severe storm with 'strong gale force' wind driving the incessant rains pummelling down for hours on end. A level 9 warning has been issued by our weather service and Disaster Management are on standby. Leaks everywhere, flooded roads, uprooted trees and electricity outages (more than already usual)

It seems you're having an even worse time than us here on the West Wales coast Irene.
We're in the middle of the latest ex-hurricane blown over from the States.
It's rained virtually constantly for around 30 hours now, with gale force winds to boot.
Almost everything in the garden flattened today and no let up in sight yet.
Hope you survive OK down your way.

@Irene McC and @Panolyman Irene and Brian, we hope that everyone is OK around where you are.
Buckets and towels everywhere ... we're having building work done which is unfinished so areas are porous and it's awfully wet. Just incredible this incessant non stop hard drumming rain. How do the clouds store this much water? Crazy storm

I'm just thinking of the myriad homeless people who have makeshift cardboard shelters all around town. Those must be completely waterlogged :(

Bugger, mate!

BTW, a tropical cyclone picks up around 1,000,000 tons of water a second when moving over the ocean.

A still very active low pressure blocked by 'Highs' either side. The west coast and Capetown look the worst just now.

A series of very wet weather systems approaching our region. First real rain since last spring. We're the little blue dot in the middle of all the orange which means most of it will blow by us. Olympic, Cascades, Vancouver Island and the BC Coast Mtns are getting hammered. Lots of snow at higher elevations.
