How's weather at your place?

That's my evening routine anyway Ovi.
I'm sorting the garage out to try and get the car in for the first time in 33 years.
I've got a cracked windscreen and every time I have a booking for it to be changed, we have a storm. 😞

I hope the weather is OK for you down in deepest Somerset, as it's supposed to be worse
You make me wonder what did that car ever do to you to kick it out of the house for 33 years :p
Or how it looks for sitting out in the sun, the cold and the rain for that long ... I hope it's not a Transformer in disguise because I've seen what those things can do to people :p

Sadly it's not the same car, though if I had have bought a Volvo at the time, hopefully it would still be going strong.
We've now been in this house 35 years and a car has only entered the garage for three nights during that time.
That was when my wife was on the very early shift at the hospital and we knew it would be freezing when she woke up.
Since then, the garage has only had two-wheeled vehicles inside, though there have been up to eight at any one time.
We're now down to six and I could do you a very good deal on an extra-strong tandem that you could wend your way around Somerset on, and hopefully attract some fine young maidens to accompany you.

Thank you for the offer but I am very terrified of high speeds (it's one of the reasons I have yet to drive a car or own a driver's license and I'm 35). Push bicycle is my most comfortable speed to be at though I have traveled by plane and some really fast trains :p

I had higher hopes of being a chick magnet with a really cute puppy but not even this pretty little face seem to help my pretty fuggly mug :p

If there's one term I hate it is "push bike". (n)
A bicycle is built to ride, not push.
I've got low enough gears to almost ride up a 1 in 3 hill and in over 30 years of cycling I can count on one hand the number of times I've actually had to get off and push.

Please note that a tandem is still a bicycle and with a fine extra pair of legs on the back, you won't have to do much pushing, once you've pulled. ;)

Our garage has been full of crap since we moved there, 17 years ago.
Now that the garage and north facing main roof have been replaced, and slightly redesigned, and a huge valley gutter installed between them (350x75mm?) instead of the useless 75x50mm one, we don't have routine flooding in the garage anymore ...

Now to put up a whole lot of heavy duty 350x50mm Oregon shelves, and go through all the crap, pulling out my old practice papers that I'm obligated to have securely shredded.

A small bit of concreting, rearrange some cupboards and filing cabinets, and then we should be able to fit both our Foresters in there!

I agree with you, I dislike the term as well, I actually heard for the first time only when I moved in with my late girlfriend and she was the one saying it that way and I noticed others in UK using it as well.
A bike for me is a bike (bicycle) and I can't wait to hop on one soon (after spring maybe).

The wind stopped as well as the rain. And the good thing is the humity is down from the uncomfortable 90% we usually have here. It's down to a more comfy 54%, at least in my home.

Maybe this means I can go out tomorrow to look for some wildlife and try out the OM-1.

We built a 2 storey garage in 2012, and the little Mrs was under the impression that it was to store cars in.

That is just silly, even if I went for a 2,25 meter max height, so that I could get 4X4s into it, just in case. Anyhow, another day of -3 to -5 degrees, with snow, easing up into rain and zero dgrs come the weekend...

23°C and beautiful at lovely Nambucca Heads in NSW.
I am home alone resting while my older sister, a very old friend and my good lady wife are off looking at shops and having lunch.

We did a side trip to Bellingen yesterday, same deal, and I am knackered today. I asked the local leather worker to put aside a belt pouch for my Boker pocket knife. The one that my older brother made for said pocket knife about 65 years ago (!) irreparably broke some years ago. It will be nice to have a sturdy leather belt pouch for it again. When we leave here, we will be going that way, so will pick it up then.

Remembrance Day here today, for the end of WW1.

Have taken over a thousand photos so far this trip. Backing up the LSF JPEGs to my tablet as we go. This has worked very well.

Hope that all are well.

Still damp and miserable here, but didn't suffer any effect from storm Debi.
I noticed on the weather forecast this morning that it was around minus 5 up in Scotland.
Coincidentally, I'd just unearthed this photo from our break up in Ayrshire back in 2007.
A crisp frosty morning on the golf course.
