That's getting really serious. I'd be thinking about moving somewhere else for sure.
Sadly, not an option for me.

Yeah, I know, easier said than done. I'd probably be in for a nervous breakdown if I had to move myself (not joking). When we moved from Dordrecht (slightly below sea level and an island enclosed by rivers) to Eindhoven (16 m above sea level) in 2007, I felt reassured that I would keep my feet dry. In 1996 we were seriously in fear of flooding but in the end nothing happened to us.Sadly, not an option for me.
BRRRRRRRR.14 degrees fahrenheit at my house at dawn the past two days. That's -10 celsius. Unusually cold for the northeast U.S. when winter hasn't even officially started yet. That's tomorrow. But David wins the northeast prize in Vermont's Kingdom at -10 fahrenheit. That's near the Canadian border.
I'm about 25 miles NW of Philly; I'm starting to think it's time to talk to the Mrs. about moving down to the Carolina's or further, maybe in a few years. Either that or I need to figure out how to work from home full-time and don't leave my house until Spring.14 degrees fahrenheit at my house at dawn the past two days. That's -10 celsius. For a second, I thought this would be the rain you need, Sue, just in time for Christmas. But it looks like it won't be enough in the right places...
Eastern Australia braces for up to 50mm of rain on Christmas Eve
As Australia's bushfire season reaches new heights with raging infernos around Gospers Mountain and Bilpin, west of Sydney, only a splash of rain is predicted in the area.www.dailymail.co.uk
