Ricoh Hypothetically, a GR collection....

A delayed update: Tomohiro Noguchi, who led Ricoh's product planning, posted on the GR Blog back in the summer. I missed it somehow. "As many of you may already know through socia media etc., I will leave Ricoh today. This means I will no longer be a part of the GR official management team. This is going to be the last article as NOGUCHI of Ricoh."

I like his perspective: "Some people think of me as Mr. GR or the father of GR somewhere down the line, but in fact the opposite is true. I have learned so much from so many wonderful people I have met through the GR. I am more than happy to have had the opportunity to go to various places, meet various people and learn great deal with the GR."

Let's hope his original precepts remain to guide the GR line:
1. We do not compete in a number game using catalog specs.
2. We do not install a function only because it is a fad.
3. We do not design only to draw attention.
4. We do not change models easily.
5. Always challenge and propose something new.

What an interesting professional role he's had, and what an interesting era to be in it. I hope he finds satisfaction in the strong connection people feel to the GR.
