I can't stand the sand, hate suncream and get bored easily. But the Greek island of Zakynhos offers free accommodation and food - my wife's kids own a restaurant and a villa there so it would be rude not to visit occasionally

There used to be loads of these huts along the coast,once upon a time. The old men would use them as shelters and sit and watch the sea until they spotted a shosl of fish, whereupon they would pop down and cast their nets. There aren't many fish left in the Ionian Sea now...
