Went down to the park by my house where they have a large ice castle exhibit in the winters. It was a cold night for a stroll, at negative 10 F. I took my Olympus Pen F, as I wanted to put my new 12-45 through the paces. The Pen performance was mixed. It wasn’t deterred at all by the super cold temperatures, taking well over 100 pictures over the course of over an hour and the battery level didn’t budge. However I forgot how terrible the low light autofocus performance is, and especially in low contrast situations like this. That’s when I immediately missed having a focus clutch to pop into manual, and I had to go to the quick menu to switch into manual focus. Short of that inconvenience, I think it came out well, and at first glance I do like the lens quite a bit. I look forward to using it more. All SOOC jpgs-
