7F when I walked our dog this morning. Coldest we've been this time of year since 1977, and that was one of our most severe winters ever. Time will tell.

Westerley Falls on Paint Creek, Fayette County, WV, 01-01-18. From my NYD bike ride. Wouldn't want to fall in that! X-T1 + 35mm f2. The tighter FOV from this lens definitely changes the way one thinks about framing a landscape. Much different than the 23mm f2.

Man that's cold. We're back above freezing here 24/7 right now, so no ice for me at present.

Did you brace the camera on the bike for the longer exposure water shots?

Local weather person said this weekend our area will set its longest ever period of continuous temperatures below freezing. Supposed to be 2F in the morning, and I'm guessing the rural state forest where I'll be hiking will be below 0. I considered taking my bike, but there are a couple of rocky trails I want to explore, and they are very, very steep.

Did you brace the camera on the bike for the longer exposure water shots?

I carry a small Sirui CF tripod. Weighs about 2 pounds and collapses down to under a foot. Best tripod I've ever owned.

I have thin under-armour that is breathable. Multiple thin layers really is the key. I rode my bike when it was 10F on New Year's Day and I was fine. Walking my dog at those temps wearing my normal work clothes is a whole different story.
