That's the best plan. Don't fight your way through this. Wait it out, but use the time to think hard about your project. That is a luxury graduate students don't often have.

That is a good point actually. I'm a little different to some of the other postgrad students who are struggling. I am not young .. I already have a stable career and income, I waited this long before I knew I could afford to go back to part time study. I feel bad for the younger students who are still in their early careers, who were relying on casual jobs to pay the bills while they complete their studies.
