Hiya guys & girls

So for months and months i've been thinking about getting an X100.
I went away from the thought and came back a few weeks later thinking everytime i saw those beautiful x100 images on the web.
Of course the sexy X100 body attracts me too every time I see it.

The main reason why I didn't buy one earlier was the price , and the several problems (mainly sticky blades)

But the fuji X100 I will buy now is from a badge that was delivered in february 2012 , so it should be sticky blade free.

I know (trust me , I read way too many posts) the X100 isn't perfect, but it just keeps calling my name.
I don't mind super fast AF... that's what i'm gonna get a Canon 600D for :)

So one of the next days i'm gonna make an order for my X100.
(I'll get a free official fuji x100 leather case with it)

:frown: I feel for you. Here in the states we have a website that allows the tracking of when things are in stock...do you all have something similar?

I too am feeling the pull of the X100!! The price in our store has gone down to £699 which is getting into the realms of possibility. 35mm is my fave focal length so I know I'll use it alot plus the IQ is stunning. Trouble is I have a GF2 and 20mm which I have only just got and I know I'll not use them if I got the X100. I think I'll borrow the demo X100 from work and have a play.

I have spoken to Fuji regarding the sticky blade problem and they said it only affected a small batch of units and they should have all been sold by now.

Good eh!

Yes the prices for the x100 seem to be dropping everywhere atm
maybe i should still wait a bit .. .? ;-)

i'm not sure 2012 models are sticky blades free, but the chance is bigger it will be then 2011 models.

I think the X100 is better valua at 699 gpb then an OMD at 999 (body) because the X100 is a great lens with a body attached
The OM5 won't be that much better then the EPM or EPL3 in image quality (xcept maybe at higher ISO)

The X100 is a totally different experience too I think

Yeah it is designed to serve a perpouse which may be a little limmiting for me?? The IQ may win though!! The OM-D looks to be fantastic but the price is shocking! I have a few M4/3 lenses so the sensible choice would be the Lumix GX1. I have the GF2 and always loved the GF1. I had the G3 which was fantastic but had to sell it as my PC died. I am now getting towards the position of getting something decent again and the GX1, X100 and OM-D are on my hit list. :2thumbs:
