So had a bit of time out with the Jupiter 12 mounted. I had read a suggestion on line of using the 28/2.8 lens id for the modern biogon so I used that in the menus. I'm not sure if it did much of anything other than make the exif data claim that it was a 28mm lens ;) It's actually doing a bit better job than I expected it. OTOH, none of these are high stress shots. The focal length and f stop will cover up a multitude of sins :) The fellow I bought the lens from claimed to have shimmed it for the correct spec. So far so good but I ought to do some wide open and close up pictures to see how it really plays.

So the classic test image. I was focusing on the blue square at f/2.8, 1/45th, 3200 ISO and cropped in tight on the cup.

looks good enough for the price of a J-12. But I'm going to want a better 28 or 35 by October for my vacation in Memphis.
