Film Showcase Kodak Ektar 100

There's always room for one more camera... it's only money, Matt. What else are you going to do with it? :)
Well, full disclosure: My latest "little project" (the setup for the Minolta SRT101 - I was actually given half a dozen lenses by a friend!) is still sitting "naked" on a bookshelf - no more bag or cupboard space, not even by being creative (as I was for the Pentacon Six - the system's now living in the filing cabinet ;)).
Note about the Polaroid backs; a) film is expensive at ~$20 for 8 frames and b) doesn't even cover the entire film base. See: Polaroid Self I have one that came with my camera and at first, I was excited to maybe use it. But it seems a bit cost prohibitive and probably why you can find the Polaroid backs for cheap.
And then there's the fact that the last production line for the films has been closed down last year. I'm not enthusiastic about the Polaroid back, it's just interesting that it comes with two films. Furthermore, the Super is in even better nick than the Pro TL, and both its 120 backs are fully working (the Pro TL's "second" back has issues with ISO transmission - maybe corroded contacts ...). I still maintain that both offers are great - but on the other hand, I'd more or less replicate what I already have ... (I own the 50mm Flektogon and 180mm Sonnar for my Pentacon Six!). Yes, I'd get a true MF system, but it'd also be a suitcase full of stuff, no advantage in terms of size and weight over the Pentacon Six ...

I think I'll pass - maybe it's stupid, and it definitely *is* a pity at the price, but I enjoy shooting with the Pentacon Six a lot, and I have one in good user condition while the other one's being completely overhauled at the moment. I think I'll stick with what I have and use that. Now if only that bloody Zenza Bronica SQ-A hadn't turned up online for $350 ... :D

Silly me ... Let's get back to shooting and showing - after next week's troubles, I should be able to start scanning and post processing again. Sorry for hijacking the thread for gear talk ...

Just had a roll processed, taken with my Minolta X700 with 50mm f1.7 or 28mm f3.5 MD lenses. Out of interest, I would say that the Program mode on the X700 (at least mine) is not very reliable. I'll stick to aperture mode in future.

I have shot very little film the past few months, but I finally finished and mailed out this morning a roll of Ektar 100 from my Rollei 35. Should have the results in a few days.
