Please pardon the joke and the nerdy nature of these pictures. I tried to vary the iso a bit.

You've seen these bottles before. They are in our display case and these samples are about 100 years old. The Chrome yellow is a little more yellow than the actual chemical sample.

Here are some 17 MP "crops" in bad lighting, i.e, a very bright window with the bench in shadows. I could have just upped the exposure compensation, but I wanted to see what it would do. I left a bit of the window in the B&W so you could see how bright the it was. Please note the ancient King Edward cigar box that somehow made the trip from the old building to the new in 1996. Chemists are pack rats.

My cat jumped on the bed while I was beginning to read the manual. I just aimed and hit the shutter. You can see my feet to the right and that TV in the background. It was a bit noisy at 12800, but when down a lot when I resized to 6 MP. I also cropped a little.
