Keyword all the obvious ones with generic keywords.

Make sure left hand pane in Bridge is set to only show images with no keywords.

As you apply these low order keywords, these images disappear.

Once you have done this, you can then call up each group and apply higher order keywords. It's a mongrel of a job, but this makes it seem less overwhelming!

A low order keyword could be "people". Next level "family". Next level "Aunt Mary".

What I suggested IS quick and dirty.

There is nothing so annoying (to me) as not being able to find a specific image when I want it.

It's a whole lot easier to sight find an image if it's a car (say) and you only have to look through your images of cars, rather than every image, every time!

Did you notice that the focal length information in the EXIF looks a little off? It is reporting 0/1mm f4.0 on my view

Most likely an adapted lens, Andy.

Makes sense, though all my manual lenses on Fuji report f/0 but can report a focal length (if I bother to select one ).

Yeah, the 240 doesn't report anything but bit coded lenses or from a short list of Leica lenses that you manually choose. Since I mostly use LTM 50's, I'd rather it not say than pretend my Super Rokkor (that I used for that image) is a Summicron.
