Great shots- i need to do a "shoot-out" with my post-war Elmar, I-22, and I-50. The latter two are shimmed for Leica. I found some Sigma rear-mount filters that fit the Industars.

Not from an screw mount Elmar, but a fixed one from a Leica I (Model A) from 1930.
Close-focusses to 1.5 feet.

Camera was repainted and reskinned, but the curtains were pinholed pretty badly.

Since then I've (temporarily) fixed the curtains with some Liquid Electrical Tape

Rick- that's the oldest Leica featured on the forum.

Are you going to replace the curtains? The liquid electrical tape looks like it is doing a good job.
If you do the curtains- I would appreciate you posting pictures of the job.

The plan is to replace them at some point in the future, but not sure I'm up to doing it myself. I've never attempted to replace Leica curtains before.
...Yet I have no issue with replacing Contax I curtain straps myself...

I've never replaced them either, Youxin charged an extra $30 or so on my Nicca III and Leotax D-IV when doing the CLA.
I have an early Zorki with a non-collapsible I-22 on it, will be a good candidate to learn on.

I've had one Leica IIIc done by the Starkies at CameraWorks-UK a few years back (rebuild, repaint and reverted to red-curtain blinds). Wasn't cheap and their waiting list these days pretty long.
A friend overhauled a Zorki I(c) (and a couple of Contax II cameras) for me back in the day, with new curtains, but he doesn't dare touch Leicas for some reason.

The Leica I(a) on the right.
