These are shot using M8 RAW mode, M8RAW2DNG v1.2 for the conversion. Shot at Base ISO160 with -3EV, then processed in Adobe CS2 to pull up the shadows. Auto-Levels, and Curves to pull up the shadows.

These are the best ISO 1250 "equivalent" that I've gotten from the M8, the "Bizarre color noise" that I'm used to is an artifact of the DNG-8 compression algorithm. Best to shoot at base ISO and use -EV exposure compensation, boost in post processing. This maximizes the recorded dynamic range.
 
All with the Minolta 5cm F2 shot wide-open.

This lens is said to be a copy of the Summitar, but is in Rigid mount and uses 43mm filters. It is as well made as the Nikkor Leica mount lenses.
