Leica Leica METER MR troubleshooting

New to the group and hoping maybe someone can help me out. I just got one, does anyone out here use one? I loaded it up with a 1.3 Wein cell. I was curious that when the battery test switch is depressed the needle shoots all the way down past the silver dot to the bottom of the window . When the needle release knob is depressed to measure the light it reads accurately for both inside and outside when measured side by side with another light meter. Does the needle have to rest on the silver dot? Should I just roll with it?

If the metering is accurate- I would just use it. The battery test is generally a different circuit. I have cameras where all works except the battery test, and had one that I needed to remove the battery test as it was always on and drained the battery.

Thank you, I just ran it again, both inside and outside, it’s right on the money, I think I’ll just leave it as is.
