Today, Leica Camera has announced the new Leica Q (Typ 116). The Leica Q is a full-frame, 24 megapixel digital camera with a fixed, 28mm f/1.7 Summilux lens sporting ultra-fast auto focus and full macro capability.
Made in Germany, the Leica Q is jam-packed with advanced features including a rear touch screen display, built-in super high-resolution 3.68 megapixel EVF, Wi-Fi connectivity, optical image stabilization, an electronic shutter for speeds up to 1/16,000th of a second, and even a traditional focusing tab to allow for full-time manual focus when desired (with focus peaking of course). Designed for speed and quick operation, the Q will shoot up to 10 frames per second to capture even the fastest changing scenes.
