Let's say four

It's almost winter after all, so we leave the sunny 20°C of midday Tuscany and head to the warmest place in the Alps, where my brother found his place in the sun, many moons ago.

It's known for its sunny climate, a tiny but tasteful olive oil production, but its utmost claim to fame comes from the beautiful people, since the times of the A-H empire.

And it's true! Meet Giuditta and Daphne.

Plenty of food, a walk in the rain, and colour. Plenty of.

This morning, a little sun. Let's head South to the tiniest shore available:

There, a queen of the waters waits for duty.

Up there, the empire's plan B - just in case, as the border was a few km south. Eventually it didn't work.

And then, a few hours in the rain going home.

betwixt and between
I'm still looking for my place in the sun, Alf, so I admire your brother for finding his so many years ago. I always enjoy my travels with you. Giuditta and Daphne are pretty darn appealing - were they tied up because they'd been ridden into town? Beautiful light and colors in your third, especially, for my eyes and I particularly like the reflections in the windows. You know how to use your time wisely.;)
