I was actually on the Initial Waiting List (and had a 400 dollar discount against that price) when a pair of XTs came up on my camera broker list. Had to make a decision. In retrospect, given Light's delays, the waffling back and forth and the fact that like Lytro, the magic of what you can do with light-fields is only achieved in post-process, I made a good call to back out.
If nothing else, they listened to potential customer feedback and opened the wide-end to 28mm. But until they can get the processing power beefed up on-camera such that you can do all that trickery such as refocusing and exporting in the field, this camera runs the risks of becoming another Lytro.
