When I view an image on screen the exposure looks fine, but when converted to a exported as a jpeg it looks much darker?

I find I need about a 0.12 Auto-Tone adjustment, mostly. And this is on top of me shooting a deliberate -0.3EV in the field. How much more adjustment do you find is needed to get it close to in-camera?
