Micro 4/3 Lumix G2 RAW to JPEG question.

Hi
Love my G2, but being old and rather lazy, and not one to get too involved with the technical side of things, editing and otherwise, I mainly shoot in JPEGS which suits me most of the time.
Question is, if I shoot in RAW, I cannot find a way to edit and convert in camera, which I have been able to do with other cameras, now am I missing something or is it just not possible on the G2.
As nearly all my editing is done on my tablet using Snapseed, which I'm more than happy with , I'm reluctant to buy or get involved with an Editing suite that I'm either not familiar with , or one that will get little use.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thankyou
Boz

While Snapseed will not edit Olympus RAW files, Polarr will.

It is not expensive, and it also allows access to their full editor via a browser.

Thanks all for the advice , much appreciated, I'll start looking at alternative editing suites , when I find something suitable I'll start shooting with RAW for a change to see how it goes .👍

Heuou there, I am very happy to see another fellow Pany G2 lover. It is one of my favourite camera of all time and I adore the colours out of the RAW files.
Panasonic G2 does not have the processor capabilities of in camera RAW conversion and editing. That came with Panasonic GH3 and later cameras. The Pany G2 came to out in 2009 and back then that functionality was not common.
I can understand the reluctance to do photo editing or learning a new workflow (I have been ”stuck" with Adobe for more then a decade now. There are free apps and software that can handle Panasonic's RAW format but you may want to get the one that has automated process if you want to save time and effort, like applying Profiles automatically after Import.

You can try Adobe Lightroom Mobile as it's free and has most of the desktop version's functionality including Picture Presets, recommended and built in ones are not available on the free model (you need subscriptions for that) BUT the ones you make yourself are free.

Hi, and thanks, yes I'll look into an alternative editing suite for converting my G2 RAW files, but until then I'll stick with jpegs which for me are still more than acceptable for my type of " off the cuff ,all over the place " photography, and quite enjoy using the 1.1 square format with B&W, and although I have a Nikon DSLR , I thoroughly enjoy using the G2 . 👍🙂
