Micro 4/3 LX100 and the Night Sky

Only one shot. I was not really prepared for this, I had just wandered out to see what the clouds were doing... but really, not a bad effort for a small camera. Might have to use a tripod and try harder, hand held is always a bit fraught.

It will be interesting to see how the FZ1000 does. The LX100 has a larger f-stop, but astrophotography is as much about duration as lens aperture. Also, perhaps you can try a variety of settings (mono, high contrast mono, etc.) on both cameras.

One thing for sure — amateur astronomy is definitely a fine weather hobby!
