Works remarkably well. I had been having a few issues with the autofocus... its OK, but sometimes when you think you nailed it and then look at the results later on the computer, you realise that you did not achieve what you wanted. I've no idea why I decided to start playing with it today, or why I never bothered with it before (call it laziness)... but I'm pretty happy with how it works.

The ring on the lens barrel can be used for zoom or focus. Zoom has never worked for me, clearly theres something I need to do with it, other than throw the switch. Focus is excellent. The focus ring is large, and ribbed, and moves very very smoothly. You get a small square in the centre of the screen (best used with the rear screen rather than the EVF) and the accuracy is amazing. Of course you also need not to have fumble fingers like me. I found I still needed to do a little sharpening/structure (via desktop snapseed) on the following shot. Its also been cropped to heck but no resizing.

I think I am going to be using MF a lot more often.

That looks crisp to me!
