from this morning's walk - EM1mk2 and 50-200mm - ISO3200 - SOOC jpgs

I spent maybe 10-15 minutes watching the owl- and at some point it looked down at the creek, flew down and came back up straight away with its prey...
It must have spotted the crayfish from up in the tree - which is amazing!

Man, you get the most amazing images. Owls always head for the hills as soon as they spot me.

The owls around here are fairly relaxed... :) I could approach (slowly) quite close...
(I assume my old washed out fleece jacket gives me some level of "blending in" :) Although I doubt that would help with an owl's fantastic vision...
I think this owl is used to people walking past its area - since it's a (forested) town park...)

Usually fairly underwhelmed by this lens (more the lack of sharpness than the fish-eye aov) but maybe I just needed to pair it with the right body. Works quite nicely with the GM1 sensor (which I'm sure is no better than my old G3 and it never worked this well).
