Caterpillar Unidentified #1 - Kemenuh Butterfly Park, Bali, Indonesia by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

My first unidentified caterpillar from our visit to the Kemenuh Butterfly Park. Apologies for the photo quality, really needed a macro on this visit but didn’t have one with me (not planned).

We spent a fair bit of time exploring the Kemenuh Butterfly Park in Bali, Indonesia. I can highly recommend it if you are in Bali and in the Ubud area.

Mike , this has been a closely guarded secret for many years. Hendersons is, or was, a small family business and they made a small volume of relish each month. This was sold around the Sheffield area only and still is. I now live in Huddersfield, which is less than 30 miles away, and it is rare to find it in shops here.
Once you have tried Hendersons you won't want any other, it has a taste all its own. :)

Glorious Starlight by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

The Glorious Starlight [IMO 9615028/MMSI 373169000] built in 2012 is a handy-sized bulk carrier with a 17,019 gross tonnage capacity. She is Panamanian flagged, but managed out Singapore by PCL Shipping Pte Ltd and hence is part of the Pacific Carriers fleet. Her beneficial owner is World Marine Co Ltd of Japan.

I photographed the Glorious Starlight departing from the No. 4 Kwinana Bulk Berth on January 7, 2015. Her next port of call was reported in the Fremantle Ports Voyager Port Management System as Kwinana, which didn’t quite make sense as she was leaving a berth within the port. Marine Traffic tracking suggests she was heading to the South Australia port at Thevenard.

A handful of photos taken on Día de los Muertos, the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead, in the small town of Mixquic, maybe an hour south of Mexico City. The narrow streets were packed with too many people to count, many wearing the 'Catrina' Calavera (skeleton) maquillaje (makeup) -

In one corner of the local cemetery, the dead flowers are piled in a mountain by a cemetery wall, to be composted later -

And somewhere in the middle of all the noise and color and craziness, people find time for a little 'time out', to rest and take it all in -

These were taken with the Lumix Vario G 12-35mm zoom, on my GX8. The zoom has a constant f/2.8 aperture, just right for this kind of shooting.

Fremantle prison - colours of the night - B&W 01 by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

The Fremantle Prison - The Convict Establishment (Fremantle, Western Australia) is lit up a night with a changing array of colour. In April 2019 I visited the prison on a dark stormy night to record the colours. This shot was of a white light which I have processed as a black and white image.

Today the Fremantle prison UNESCO world heritage site.
