Rajiv, I LOVE it! One of my contacts regularly uses little figurines in her photography to great effect. It's a good way to hone your skills when the light outside isn't cooperating. I think most of them are here if you like this kind of thing...... Small models project - a set on Flickr

I'll have to reflect on this "Minimal" thing, I really like the idea but I don't have the feeling my shots adhere to that principle. I'll have to go out with minimal and restricted gear and work on this, it could be wabi sabi reduced to the extreme, just like the photographic incantation of haiku japanese poetry... hmmm... would pdh care to comment on that?

Thanks Luke, this was taken at the V&A in London. Nice pics in the link as well.

Here's another photographer who recreated a war torn town in Italy in miniature and took pictures as part of his healing process, after he was badly beaten up outside a bar. Riveting story.
