Miksang photography? Looked that up, learned something new again. Hanging a camera around my neck seems to be enough for me to get into that state of mind.
Ha! Being reminded of this today makes it feel like a fad - but it really isn't.

I myself need a little time (and peace of mind and/or exercise/exertion) to get "in the zone", but in fact, much of what I feel and do while shooting still follows this basic pattern ...

I realised this just a couple of days ago (maybe only yesterday?) when someone talked about "speed" as something desirable. It certainly isn't for me ... Nor do I crave the spectacular. The smaller the find, the more I experience satisfaction in making the corresponding image work. That's one of the main reasons I like to get close (not macro - just close).
