Micro 4/3 Showcase Mitakon Zhongyi Speedmaster 25mm f/0.95

I could not find a showcase for this one, so made one.
All at f0.95 or slightly bumped the aperture ring to f1.1 ish.

Went to my hometown for a small trip. I think the lens really fit the vibe there.

How sharp is this wide open and how's the contrast wide open?

It focuses pretty close. This is wide open at the closest focus. Conversion from raw is in Photos on an iPad Pro with no adjustments.

This was shot the same but the highlights were brought down and the shadows up. A little bump to the contrast and saturation.

Really nice images! I've thought about that lens in the past, it renders really rather nicely.

How sharp is this wide open and how's the contrast wide open?

It's fine for my taste. Just make sure you get the focus right as the depth of field can get quite shallow.

I don't really pixel peep, but there enough contrast there (even if focus was _slightly_ missed). Just be aware of aberrations etc ..

The lens does some odd stuff once in a while:

But in the overall image you don't really notice any of these.

It’s a great lens. Used to have it years ago. Very easy to use and has an interesting character to it. More usable at f/0.95 than you’d think it would be.

The flare can get a bit crazy but here I quite like the glow it adds to the fishy.
