With an unfortunate lack of knowledge for many things British, my recollection of this site comes solely through the latest "Thor" movie. So I'm surprised that all the devastation has already been cleaned up! (See the movie if wondering what the heck I refer to.) ;)

Now I really want to see that film!!! Thanks for the kind comments.
Its a pity the old Tudor Palace was demolished in the early 18th century. We would never do this now.
It stood right where the courtyard is and only a stone plaque in the pavement marks it now.
The 18th century buildings around it are the Royal Naval College built by Wren. The zero longitude line
for the world passes close by here.
