So I got a bit excited the other night when I saw a lovely looking lens going cheap on ebay. I managed to snap it up for £15 inc postage. It's in great nick, no dust or scratches or dings. It has a screw on filter of some sort (not sure what). It's very pretty. But I have realised I'm not actually sure what it's for.

So - what would YOU do with a Canon FD 135mm f3.5-32 lens?

I'll get it on the NEX tonight and see what it can see.

What would I do with it?
I'd go out and take photographs with it, Heather ... it'll be sharp as you like, I expect ... point it at some birdies

I have done, yes. It really need to be on a tripod or perched on top of something though, its very wobbly image wise.
The joy of ignorance - if you don't know what the rules are you don't notice when you break them!

This is what it does

Well, remember to clean your kitchen unit before you try to take pictures of strawberries on it. Just like I didn't.

PS it's a Vivitar 70-210, Canon FD fit. Cheap off ebay.

I actually have one. The nFD version. It's fairly compact and light for a 135mm. I've used mine with a m4/3 adapter, which turns it into a 270mm equivalent lens. This is what I have done with it:

Antonio, are those hand held?
I have a 135 in M42 mount and tried it on my Nex3 once. Composing with it was so wobbly that I haven't used it since:-(
But your results are lovely, will have to try and brace it on something.
