"Mosaïcultures" is a form of horticulture that is similar to mosaics. The patterns are made with plants and flowers. Metal structures are covered with special nets on which flowers and plants are fixed. The structures are equipped with systems for feeding and watering plants. Around the structures, the grounds are laid out to represent, with the help of plants and flowers, environments and habitats.
Every three years, the Comité international de mosaïculture organizes an event called "Mosaïcultures internationales", the first two editions of which were held in Montreal (Québec) in 2000 and 2003.
In 2022, the event is held at the "Parc du bois de Coulonge" in Quebec City. The theme of the event this year is "Il était une fois... la Terre" (Once upon a time... the Earth) and use six millions of plants and flowers. The event will close on October 10, so you have time to come and see .
