A lot smaller than my 24/2 Nikkor Ais.

Not a bad price, at $1100 to $1200. This is a limited production lens, with some specialty optics. It's wide and fast, also close to the film plane.

Note that the tests were done with a film camera. This lens is wide, and close to the sensor- I would wait until images are released for the M240 and M10 before committing to getting one.

I would not worry about using one on an M9 or M Monochrom. My Nikkor 28/3.5 is perfect on the two of them. Also very close to the image place.

The astigmatism has been corrected except in the extreme corner, but the curvature of field resulted. The mtf chart suggests center sharpness is not stellar, getting better away from center, and falling off at the edges...

I'd like one of these for Fuji or mu43. These super pancake make the RF style bodies actually pocket-able.

Many of the other shots are good. It’s such a thin lens, I expected it to be big on character, i.e., imperfections.

Fwiw, a sample of his earlier Perar 21/4.5 at f/5.6. It vignettes, and this shot is slightly cropped, but the top left is dark because the shot was taken through a chain link fence.
