We visited the historic Timberline Lodge, whose exterior was used in the 1980 film The Shining, this past Sunday. It's just below the 15,000+ peak of Mt Hood, and the weather was clear enough to see Mt Jefferson and The Sisters away to the south. The XC 50-230 came in handy, but I wish I'd cleaned the rear element first. Smaller apertures gave me some spots.

Mt Jefferson away to the south.

Mt Hood, just over my shoulder. Got a little wacky in post on this one.

The front entrance has this tunnel to keep the roof avalanches off your head...

And the 35 1.4 even came out for a few shots.

Very pretty! I am sitting here freezing so I can feel like I am there haha! I need to turn my heat up. I love the snow when I don't have to be in it.
