Worst town name ever? No, I'm sure there's worse. At any rate, last weekend's race was wet, so there were some killer puddles. But it didn't actually rain on us, so I could shoot without an umbrella. Rokinon 12, kit 18-55, 56 f1.2, and the XC 50-230 this time.

Team mate. Check her face closely - she came over that hill so hard and fast she barely touched down til this spot, so you can see her back tire digging into the soft dirt, and her grunting to keep things in line.

Looks like a good time was had by all. I'm too chicken. After unwittingly planting my front tire in a ditch a few months back and finding myself instantly flying over the handlebar, I'm more risk averse than ever on my bike.

Might as well put some Sauvie Island pics here too... The wife went hard this time and had first place sewn up the whole race, until the end of the last lap. She barely got passed, so she took 2nd in her category. Awesome day. Note to future me: keep bringing the 56, it rocks for this work.
