My oldest daughter is savoring her first fish and chips at Pimlico in London. She goes every year about this time to attend Wimbledon if possible and to definitely attend Glastonbury Festival. She is roughing it with a rented tent with all the amenities of a small hotel room and will spend days wandering from stage to stage to see her favorites. Over the years, she has followed Melanie C and has been able to meet her and actually exchange pleasantries when they see each other. For this trip, she changed her hair color from light brown to light purple to fit in with the crowd. She is in charge of a research section of one of our Universities and has been with the place as a director for so long, she has much vacation time. She is a PhD in Psychology and she works in youth outreach.
I have been to England several times and to London several times and for my money, London is a great city but I really like flying in and out of it or renting a car and going to other areas. I love Wales and areas such as Cotswold. Not so much on the megacities.
I kind of feel a little left out---my daughter is in England, and my wife just returned from a photography workshop in Wisconsin and then went with her daughter to Mexico. All I got from this is a couple of extra dogs for 3 weeks. Oh well, I hope my daughter has fun. :)

If you come back to the UK again, I can heartily recommend North Yorkshire for a visit, especially around Whitby. Oh, and their is my county Derbyshire, as well🙂

Well, at least you're not on your own Mel, as you are accompanied by all of us on this wonderful community, so you know you won't get lonely.
All the best from sunny Wales. (y)
