Last month, before my 3 week time off work, I had the chance to go to Wales in a work related trip. Here are some of the pictures from the trip:

The most futuristic high voltage line tower I have ever seen, somewhere outside Bristol, shot from the motorway.

We passed an Amazon warehouse and it was humongous, I couldn't frame the whole thing in one shot from the car even if I tried.

I haven't crossed many bridges this size in my life but it was very beautiful.

And the first time being in Wales was upon me. Had to get to our destination first before I could walk around and spend some time there.

There were a lot of old beautiful buildings, some of them looking abandoned, with sh I could visit them all.

Something tells me this would be a very famous places though I was stuck in traffic so this is all I could get.

Wales has some of the most beautiful architecture and buildings I have seen.

This tower was very minimalist and modern I hope the lack of numbers on the clock was design choice an not budget minimalism 😛

After finding a parking space I just couldn't resist this composition and had to make the shot.

The same outlook but from the beachside.

If I had a shovel I would have give him a hand 😛

One of the strangest views I have ever seen, quite a stark contrast from bright sand to waves of tall grass to a monolithic concrete WW II looking bunker building to a very tall apartment block of glass and steel.

There was a looooot of driftwood and I would have loved to gather all of it up and make a bonfire.

A very beautiful view Swansea has and I would love to live here, photographically speaking.

Lots of tall grass makes plenty of opportunities to try sea view compositions.

I would have loved a walk on the beach but it wasn't possible that day. Sparkles would have loved to run up and down the beach like a bus with no breaks and bomb set to explode if it slows down 😛

I find this so cute, the little prints left in the sand.

This little fellow was trying to cozy up and take a break from the excessive wind that was blowing from the sea.

I was trying to capture the amazing physic phenomenon that was happening before my eyes ... And then a gull decided to ask from attention from the autofocus system and started tracking the bird while I was paying attention to the sand.

I never seen sand turn into a fluid as the wind was blowing it across the beach, making it look like a shallow flowing river. It was amazing.

I love these little seashells blown away by the wind with the sand all the way up from the beach to the concrete path next to the road.

More prints in the sand, this time foot prints which do change quickly from the wind into blobs (NOT boobs damn autocorrect, I'm not 13 anymore 😛 )

I love these fluffy reeds.

I love this brigh red house, especially as it was right next to a dark black and gold accents house.

I hope he did find his keys, can't imagine being stuck the whole day on the beach with a metal detector with that wind. 😛

A better view of the lighthouse.

A few weeks ago someone asked about palm trees in South West UK ... Even Wales has them.

Thanks for sharing your adventure. I've not ventured into Wales yet. Must go there some time.
I recommend it, it's very beautiful especially in autumn. I hope next year I can do non-work trips so I can go wherever I want and spend as much time as want.
And definitely once in a lifetime adventure to see the blue bioluminescence waters in the summer nights.

I'm not actually sure that Ovi visited Wales; I mean, he's not shown any rain. 🙄

I am sure that Swansea City Council wouldn't be too happy with Ovi's "monolithic concrete WW II looking bunker building" description, as that's their Civic Centre. 😃

We used to visit Swansea quite frequently to do some shopping, but commented only yesterday that we don't do that any more.
However, we occasionally cycle down to the beach when we're staying a few miles away in our camper.
But, and it's a big but, if you think that area is beautiful, you ain't seen noting yet; go visit the Welsh countryside.

I'm embarrassed to say I haven't been to Wales. Swansea and especially Cardiff, well they're easy to get to but the rest? It all seems quite difficult to get around with less roads and rail and more countryside which no doubt makes for stunning landscapes I'd imagine. The place I really want to see is Portmeirion. I understand it looks exactly the same now as it did in the 1960s as the film set of "The Prisoner". I am a fan of that series as well as the actor Patrick McGoohan. But just to get there from Cardiff takes 9 hours??

Lovely photoset here, particularly the beach and the creamy sand.

I love Wales generally, but my heart pulls me to the north - I'd never been to Eryri/Snowdonia before 2018, but since then I've been every year 😄

The area around/between Betws-y-coed, Dolwyddelan and Capel Curig is particularly beautiful, IMO. Hope work or something else pulls you up there some day @L0n3Gr3yW0lf

That would be by train.
I'd say four hours by road, through some of the most amazing scenery.

We visited Portmeirion in the late 70's some time after the Prisoner series was filmed.
I was disappointed to find that it was very tatty and desperately in need of lots of TLC.
I'm happy to report that friends of ours visited this year and said it looked stunning.

My first cousin lives in New Radnor. My wife and I had the great pleasure of spending a week at their home and touring some of the most beautiful parts of this beautiful place in 1999. New Radnor is a small village in Powys near the border with England. My Grandmother and Grandfather migrated to the USA from this area in 1902...I will attach some photos I took on that trip 24 years ago. This is my first cousins home and garden in New Radnor. Her home dates from the 1400's. The stone exterior added sometime in the 1600's

This is the real Wales. It's a very rugged beautiful country filled with historic castles and ruins such as Tintern Abbey. Only 8000 square miles, less than 1/5 the size of the state of Ohio.
