I think I have things sorted with this kit, so will be shooting exclusively with it for this week and with the Zeiss pair of lenses.

I'm also experimenting with the in camera JPG settings so shooting DNG+JPG - and this week will sick with the B&W settings for that as well.

A bit of cross posting from other threads, but will cherry pick my favorites so far:

Biogon 35mm f/2.8 on March 27

Biogon 35mm f/2.8
Monochromes are SOOC - adjusted for a little crushed shadows, perspective and straightening.

Thanks, that special Leica magic I guess. 😀

Ha, could be. I saw this post on my phone and missed that you mentioned these were SOOC.

I'm going to try some B&W on my 240 now. I mostly shoot colour and edit to B&W in post as I see fit. But, since I shoot jpeg and DNG, I can half the best of both worlds as needed.

Did you just tweak the contrast and sharpness settings at all?

Yes, bumped the sharpness and contrast both to medium high.

3/31 - Walked into the Ohio State House and the Ohio Supreme Court building today and let the Leica flag fly!

Again with the Zeiss Biogon 35mm f/2.8 ZM.

I'm still a little in awe at just how easy it is to focus this rangefinder, even in very dark conditions.
Monochromes are out of camera JPGs - B&W, Orange filter, contrast - medium high, sharpness, medium high - let the ISO ride up through 3200 if need be.

Really nice! I agree, once you get the hang of focusing a Leica, it becomes very fast, almost easier than AF in many cases. Obviously not for fast action but for this type of photography, it is a real pleasure to use.

I don't know if this is a great description on my part - but I noticed that when the rangefinder lines up it just "snaps" and you know - even wide open it just seems to be bang on.

Fantastic set Andrew!

And you definitely have the RF focusing down. That Zeiss lens is also living up to what I've read about it.
