Documentary My home town: Talent, Oregon, after the apocalyptic wildfire

Rain came last Friday, a big red blob from south of Mt Hood (south of us by ~40 miles), up through town. That cleared the air wonderfully for the weekend. Monday was a little smokey but air is WAY better now. Greatful for every clear day we get.

I drove into Portland from Los Angeles a day before the fires broke out. I ended up being stuck an additional week waiting for the rains to come in! When it rained that Friday, I ended up driving back. Prior to that Friday, the I-5 fwy was just a nasty, smokey haze!
