Thinking about buying the Fujinon 90mmF2 R LM WR

Mike, my 90mm went in PX to fund the 80mm although expensive is much more versatile lens than the 90mm as it will take the TC converters and of course it’s also a 1to1 Macro!

Your correct the 80mm is more versatile but I don't shoot Macro thats why I think the 90mm being smaller. lighter, and less expensive would be a better fit for me. Im not rushing out to buy the 90mm so I could see it differently later on.

LOL. My own collection is quite humble:

X-T1, XF 18mm f2 on the way, XF 23mm f2, XF 35mm f2, XC 50-230mm. Before buying the 18mm f2, I strongly considered giving up the two WR lenses and making my kit the X-T1 plus an 18-55 f2.8-4 and the 50-230. It's just hard for me to get away from my inner desire for compactness. Probably why my past attempts to get along with a small DSLR didn't work out.

Well I'm in a phase which leaves me with a 16 1.4 ( like I said, I don't need it often but when I do no other lens will get the job done ) And I ain't buying it twice. 35 f2, 90 f2. That's it and I'm thinking of selling the 90, picking up a 23 f2 and a 56 and calling it a day. The 55-200 sold today, so I have no zooms.

I planned to avoid Fuji lenses and stick to manual, but then i made the mistake of picking up a 50-230 :(

Now my goto kit is Fuji 16/1.4, Fuji 35/1.4 and Fuji 50-230 with a Samyang 12/2 along for the ride sometimes. I feel pretty happy with what I have right now, which is usually a sure sign that GAS is about to kick in again.

My b-list kit is a Samyang 21/1.4 and a whole bunch of Nikon fit manual glass and some adapters, none of which are getting much use (should probably sell them, but I haven't/won't get round to that).

My current kit is X-Pro2
23mm f2
35mm f2
50mm f2
90mm f2

My son's kit is a X-E2 with 18-55 and 50-230. I occasionally borrow the 50-230 :D

That’ll learn ya, don’t go anywhere near the 23mm 1.4 as GAS will kick in very quickly! I abhor anything that doesn’t’t autofocus! (y)

If I can't make a compelling photograph with my X100, the blame is on me.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with hoarding photography gear. I just find that limiting myself makes me think more about what I am shooting and why I am shooting.
