Micro 4/3 My last camera and lenses for a long while......

After much consideration I am adding a Gh6 to my 2 G9's and Gx85. And although I have a 12-35 I and the Oly 9-18, I am adding the PL 12-60 and 8-18mm to my other 8 lenses (basically for video with the Gh6). With the AI noise reduction and enlargement provided by my On1 programs I can't think of anything that my 7.5 to PL100-400 can't cover. I've always wanted a really good video camera (the G9's fake that pretty well) and the Gh6 is a video beast. @72 this might or might not be my last camera, but I think it will compliment the G9's to make my kit really fit my specific needs.

Kind of all in for M43, but so far I have never been disappointed. I reviewed every camera from Canon, Sony, and Nikon. The amount I would have to spend would be substantial to give me the capabilities I now/will have as a hobbyist.

I am getting back into the "saddle" after my Mom's passing, and realize that over the last 15 years I've spent a lot of time deciding what I needed that I could have been creating. That's why I am all in with the Gh6 purchases. I hope to spend the next 10 years creating and only replacing equipment when it dies.

Yup, good idea! I upgraded from the same lenses (P12-35 and m43 9-18) to the same newer ones (PL 12-60 and PL 8-18) a few years ago. I keep the 9-18 for travel, but the 12-60 has pretty much replaced my 12-35 for everything (travel included).

You might also consider the upcoming PL 9mm 1.7. It's supposed to be available soon. It will probably replace my 9-18 for travel.

I like to travel with the Gx85/75-300 or 35-100 f4/5.6 and the 9-18 (which I use as a normal lens). The tough decision was whether to keep the 12-35 and add only the 25-50mmm f1.7 or get the 8-18/12-60. But size does matter and I know the 25-50 would stay home a lot:)

Congrats on the GH6!

I have the 12-35/35-100 f:2.8 as well as the standard PL trio from 8-200m. For general tasks the PL trio is extremely good, but sometimes I just need(want) f:2.8 throughout the range.

I also prefer the 12-35 on the GX9, over the PL12-60. No clear idea why, but it feels nimbler, if that makes any sense.

I use the 12-35 a lot, and since I am a two body shooter the 35-100 f2.8 really call too me. Even the 35-100 f4/5.6 produces amazing images on my Gx85.

You're in with a great system and have gear that will be the vanguard of the system for a while.
Never really cared about my equipment if it worked. I used 2 Gx8s for 3 years and the better IS and highres as well as video of the G9 made me sell the Gx8s. With noise AI and Resize AI I have all the still cameras I need. The G9's with the PL100-400 gives me about 50/60 keepers for BIF so that's all I need for what is perceived a weakness in the Pany cameras. With my lenses (and those I am getting) it would cost a lot to change systems and that is why the Gh6 makes sense rather than a 5 or 10K video camera. We are just so lucky to live in a time where there is such great choices in still/video systems.
