Birds My yard water feature, bringing birds to you, close!

I had been battling green water so I did some research and found how to install natural filters and the use of bio balls. I reworked the pond and now it is 10 gallons less capacity and has a fountain that I will have just bubbling from a rock pile when I can modify it.

We get mocking birds (mimuspolyglotusleucoptera) too, but they rarely get into our bird bath. Not sure why, maybe they find it too small.
(The ONLY reason I know the name is because a Zoo prof once said it would be the only thing we remember from his class. He was almost right.)

I hadn't said anything but the main water feature has been empty for maintenance all this week. I cleaned sludge, made changes to the shape and position of the pump, and added an 18-gallon bog filter. I also added some low-profile plants. Any of those directly in the water are in containers. The birds have been missing it but using the smaller drip pond.
