I watched an episode of this series today on Dan Winters. I found it fascinating, but I could see how opinions might vary. It definitely focuses on the photographer. The only two cameras I could make out were a Rolleiflex and a Fuji GFX rangefinder. 🤓 Apparently, Dan was bipolar and took a lot of meds to balance himself out.

Haven't seen it, but often documentaries etc about photographers tend to be more filler with shots of the photographer shooting something pretty or unusual, than actual thoughts and intentions being communicated clearly. What was your feeling in this regard?

I’ve only seen the one episode so far. It did show many bits of him working, but also interviews with him and his wife about his life, workflow, and what interests him. He has a really interest in beached and abandoned ships. Of course, it starts with him filming the launch of the first Artemis rocket for NASA. Being bipolar, he apparently gets a lot of work done during the manic phase, which he talked about. It was more about his life and motivations than techniques.
