NC Wedding Trip

This past weekend I went to Asheville, NC for a wedding rehearsal/ceremony/reception and shot the entire thing with the X100S and RX1 side by side. After the wedding we did a quick trip to the Biltmore also. No photos allowed inside the Biltmore - heck, you can't even use a sketchpad inside for some inane reason - so I just have a couple exterior shots.

Thought I'd share some of my favorites from the X100S.

I did all my wedding shots in B&W to differentiate my stuff from the wedding photographer, and mostly focused on candids and family photos while the pros were occupied getting the essential elements.

And some post-wedding stuff. A visit to Double D's, a converted double decker bus that serves coffee and desserts inside with a small patio seating area outside, and a quick snap of part of the Biltmore exterior.

Biltmore Estate is an amazing place. Did you shoot in the gardens any?

Not unless you count the one shot I took of some tulips while leaning out the window of the car

Unfortunately we had just barely enough time to finish the house tour before we had to run in order to make our flight in Charlotte. Hopefully we'll get a chance to go back, I'd like to tour the grounds, take some photos, maybe have a picnic lunch and so on.
