Fuji new 1.4x converter for other lens ( question for RICO)

hello RICO

could you explain why this converter does not work with 55-200 lens for example
optically - it would become a 77-280 F6.7 (@280)

is it only mechanical issue?
did you make test?

He's posted a link to his review, and it's a physical issue. The TC sticks INTO the host lens, so only the supported 3 lenses have room for it.

Yep, works with the 3 lenses I mention in my preview. I assume it will also work with high-end primes that may or may not come in 2017, like a 200mmF2 or 300mmF2.8. Plus, at some point there may also be a 2x converter.

Ok I understand this , but is it only the lenght that is too long or the diameter is bigger than 25mm

If we put FUJI MCEX-11 betwen this TC and the lens back ,the lenght could be right,no?

If you put MCEX-11 you will loose infinity focus. You *may* get s super macro lens in the end...

Might still be too short. The larger macro ring will probably work.
