Sony NEX 5r

Hi all.

I have the chance to buy (from a retailer) an NEX5r with the 18-50 for £279. Should I ?

Any users comment on the "close focus" of the kit lens?

As I posted in your other string about the XF1, the nice thing about the NEX5 series is that you can add an EVF if you eventually want it. Also, with all NEX's you have the option of adding the very good Sigma 19mm and 30mm primes in E-mount at a friendly price.

Speaking only for me, I think the lens-body balance is off if you use a telephoto lens on an NEX body. But people do use these lenses with NEX's and you may feel differently. The NEX will give you excellent image quality but won't be nearly as compact with a lens on it as some of the other cameras you have been considering. But the price seems good.
