With my Nikon Z 85mm F1.8 (and I assume it’s generally the same with all S line lenses) I get astonishingly good image output with basically no application of effort on my part and especially wide open (I mean, it’s almost bordering on AI but for camera gear). I’m assuming that’s even more of the case with this lens though, right? Sort of doing all the hard work so you don’t have to, just press the shutter then bang, an outstanding image? The bokeh, for anyone that likes that sort of thing looks mighty impressive in addition to the sharpness and overall rendering.

I’d hesitate to say it takes no skill, but yeah…push button, get great image.

Thanks. It’s truly a halo lens. I enjoyed the canon 135 1.8, but this is another level. It’s one of the greats.
