Thanks for the nomination Bart, though it is undeserved when compared to so many others'. Interestingly, it was one of those "afterthought" grab photos and with my old m5-2 and the oly14-150 lens.

I agree that there are many that I would like to see on the front page but yours definitely is as well for me.

Thanks Bart. I didn't realize my shot was up there until a friend pointed it out. I usually go directly to the forum.
I’d like to nominate @mnhoj’s magnificent Bird of Paradise for front page honors. The brilliant light brings out the blossom’s vibrant colors without blowing out any highlights. He chose to shoot against a large section dark background which completely supports and isolates the BoP. Yet we see trees in the bokehed background. Terrific!
