Thanks for the nomination Bart, though it is undeserved when compared to so many others'. Interestingly, it was one of those "afterthought" grab photos and with my old m5-2 and the oly14-150 lens.A marvellous b&w abstract by John
John, fancy gear doth not fancy photos make! Thanks for the nomination Bart, though it is undeserved when compared to so many others'. Interestingly, it was one of those "afterthought" grab photos and with my old m5-2 and the oly14-150 lens.
I agree that there are many that I would like to see on the front page but yours definitely is as well for me.Thanks for the nomination Bart, though it is undeserved when compared to so many others'. Thank you Irene@coffeecat 's sunset fishermen is great Stroll - Seen while strolling...walking and wandering outside
Thanks Bart. I didn't realize my shot was up there until a friend pointed it out. I usually go directly to the forum.I really like the seemingly simplicity in Glens "birds"
I think you got it right? Your link goes right to the picture of the flower that you described. That’s not the one I’m talking about!!
I tried using the share thingie on top of my subject. This is the first item on the correct page , BUT not the right item.
I give up!
A link of this kind always shows the first post in the particular thread, not the specific post linked to.@MountainMan79
Thanks for your note. The image shown on my copy of my post, above, shows a guy leaning against a purple wall, not the flower.
I repeat, “I give up!”
When I first saw a notification that I was mentioned in this thread I got so excited, but alas, it’s not for one of my photos@MountainMan79

*crying* why do you hate my purple guy ?!?! hahahahaha, I know that the link goes to the top of the thread's page, no worries@MountainMan79

I’d like to nominate @mnhoj’s magnificent Bird of Paradise for front page honors. The brilliant light brings out the blossom’s vibrant colors without blowing out any highlights. He chose to shoot against a large section dark background which completely supports and isolates the BoP. Yet we see trees in the bokehed background. Terrific!
